Honeycrisp Apples

The most popular apple has arrived!
Yellow-green background with red to pink blushes on the skin, with its firm flesh that’s a lovely balance of sweet and tart.

Recommended for: Preferred for raw dishes like garden or fruit salads, or even thinly sliced on sandwiches. Also, baked into crisp or pies, peeled and slow cooked for applesauce, preserves, or apple butter.

McIntosh Apples

Popular apple that’s available in our market or as U-Pick out on the orchard. Bold magenta and green stains on the skins with a soft flesh and tart flavor.

Recommended for: prepared in sweet or savory dishes, both raw and cooked. Since the flesh is quite soft, only mild cooking is recommended, as it breaks down easier. Cooked dishes work best by mixing with firmer varieties such as Fuji or Granny Smiths.

Gala Apples

Wildly popular apple with a yellow/orange skin and highlighted with pink-to-red striping based on maturity of the fruit.

Recommended for: all-around wonderful at fresh preparation such as fruit and garden salads, fresh salsas, sliced onto hot sandwiches or paninis. Can also be cooked with mixed with strongly-flavored apples such as a Granny Smith variety.

Golden Supreme Apples

Pale-yellow apples with a mellow, sweet flavor!

Recommended for: general eating, sliced for garden or fruit salads, and pairs well with strongly flavored cheeses!

Bartlett Pears

Fruit with the “signature” pear shape, picked fresh as green and turns golden yellow as it ripens.

Recommended for: eating fresh in-hand or paired with cheeses. Fantastic for adding flavor to salads, or made into preserves, syrups or chutneys. Choice for canning due to it maintaining its sweet flavor throughout the process.

Ginger Gold Apples

Beautiful pale yellow apples with a slight amount of russeting on it, with a slightly tart taste that is a pronounced difference from a golden delicious or golden supreme.

Recommended for: baked in tarts or pies, eaten raw in-hand, perfect for Waldorf salads, and paired well with cheddar cheeses or recipes that have cinnamon or brown sugar in them.

Paula Red Apples

Dusty red skin with golden green spots, similar to a McIntosh. One of the earliest apples to harvest each season, great for applesauce, since it breaks down rather quickly.

Locally grown pumpkins are priced at $0.40/pound and perfect to take home for decorating!

Utility - McIntosh

Due to a fantastic crop this year, we have utility apples available in front of the market for you to bag and take home. They may not look as pretty as the rest of our apples, but they’re just as tasty and fantastic for cooking!
